Our client is a well-established steel manufacturing and fabrication business seeking a motivated and reliable Engineering Trade Assistant / Labourer to join their team on an ongoing basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in producing quality work and has a strong interest in steel manufacturing and processing. Positions available in multiple locations; Brisbane Western Suburbs / Ipswich Brisbane Southern Suburbs / Gold Coast About the Role Working alongside our experienced workshop team, you will assist with a variety of manufacturing and fabrication processes, including: Steel processing and material handling Operating and assisting with workshop machinery Assisting fabricators and welders Preparing materials for production Supporting manufacturing operations to meet production schedules General workshop duties and housekeeping Skills & Experience We are looking for someone who: Has a genuine interest in engineering, steel manufacturing and fabrication Enjoys hands-on work and working in a workshop environment Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude Is reliable, punctual, and willing to learn Can work effectively as part of a team Demonstrates a commitment to workplace safety Experience in any of the following will be highly regarded: Brake Press operation CNC machinery Laser cutting equipment Sheet metal folding Fabrication Welding While experience is advantageous, we are also willing to consider enthusiastic candidates who are keen to learn and develop their skills within the industry.
